Bella Rose Quintana

Ah, new life was born today! I have a chunky little raisin niece now. It's so exciting.

Little swollen baby fresh out the womb.

Little monkey toes.

Overall it's been an exciting day. I also had my actual first day of work at Garage. Work and a baby.

Organization is difficult.

My room is tiny. There is definitely no denying that. I believe my family has lived in this house for about 8 years. So, my sister and I have had time to rack up belongings to stuff into this teeny tiny room. Small space, tons of stuff. So I'd have to say organizing it is super difficult.

First off, our clothes. We have a tiny closet already filled with junk, so our clothes don't fit in it. They end up everywhere. As of right now, they're currently chillin' on my futon and in the garage. There's just too much stuff where I'm supposed to put my clothes.

Which bring me to my next point, don't live with a hoarder. My sister keeps EVERYTHING. And when I say everything, I mean everything. Boxes to things we don't have or that are broken, garbage that she believes is a keepsake because a friend wrote on it, so on and so forth. What awful is that I'm not allowed to throw any of it away. I'm hardly ever in a cleaning mood, but when I am, it sucks not being able to do something about it. I just have to find a place to store the "valuable" trash. God awful.

Did attempt to clean today. I wouldn't call it successful, per say. It looks a tiny bit better and I was able to vacuum. Maybe tomorrow I'll be able to continue this. We'll see if my sister lets me get any progress done...

New Job!

For the past year and a half I've been working retail at Vans. During that time I've also worked at Panera Bread and Ann Taylor (they didn't work out for me). Since it's suuuper slow season right now, my hours have been sucking hard core at Vans. 5 hours a week isn't enough for gas even. So, I set out searching for a new job. Low and behold, I found one!

I'm currently a sales associate at a store opening up in my area called Garage. No idea it existed until I walked by where they were going to open and saw the "Now hiring"sign. Praise Jesus.

Had the interview last month, finally start tomorrow. Very exciting. I'll now have money for bills (yaaayyy!). It's weird because the visual manager (or whatever it's called) is some girl who's kinda internet famous. So I've kinda known her for like three years and it's weird because she has no idea I exist, lmao. One of my coworkers is someone I haven't seen since high school (which was about 4 years ago). Then there's one of my managers who was the co-manager at my Ann Taylor. It's all quite bizarre.

Overall, I'm really excited about starting a new job. I love new things. I love new places. Probably because I get bored so easily. But yes.

Tomorrow's my first day and it's gonna be a long one.

Swimsuit Season!

You know what I love about the internet? The ability to buy anything from anywhere.

I'm an extremely frugal shopper. I will research and look around until I can find the best possible price. Now, Victoria's Secret bathing suits are to die for, but so are their prices. I can't afford to spend $50 on just the top piece of a bathing suit. Luckily there's the internet. A wonderful place where you can buy things directly from the country it's made in for a significantly less amount.

Here are a few bathing suits I've found that resembled Victoria's Secret's but for a lot cheaper...

To the left is the Victoria's Secret bathing suit. Originally it's $58. It's currently on sale for $43. However, to the right is it's cheaper alternative. Both top and bottom combined are only $13. Yes, that's a whopping $30 cheaper. With the leftover money, you have enough to buy 2 of these bathing suits. (Victoria's Secret, Alternative)

Alright, on to case number 2. To the left is the Victoria's Secret bathing suit. Originally $81, currently $55. Seems like a pretty good sale. But the alternative to left is only $11.47 for both pieces! It's nearly the exact same bathing suit. (Victoria's Secret, Alternative)

I'd have to say, pretty darn similar. The waist line's are a little off, but generally, they look close. The left is the American Apparel version for $50. To the right, only $12.40. (American Apparel, Alternative)

The Victoria's Secret version on the left is currently $50. The alternative on the right is only $13.53. (Victoria's Secret, Alternative)

Now, what I'm trying to say is shop smart! You're guaranteed to find that bathing suit you've been eyeing for heaps cheaper if you use google the right way, lol. There are tons of other examples I could have shown, but that would have taken me entirely too long.

I used pictures from AmericanApparelStore.comVictoriasSecret.comSammyDress.com, and DHgate.com, so don't sue me for using pictures please!

Kitchen things I need when I move out.

The food/drink section of pinterest is deadly. (Well pinterest in general is deadly. I want to reorganize everything.) As I'm scrolling down the food, I realize I'm gonna need a few kitchen appliances when I move out. Kitchen appliances are more important than furniture. Eating > sitting in the living room.

Stuff I Need (want) For My Future Kitchen

  • Stand Mixer
  • Food Processor
  • Blender
  • Crock Pot
  • Rolling Pin
  • Cool Cookie Cutters
  • Ice Cube Trays
  • Mini Muffin Pan
  • Expresso Machine
  • Cookie Jar
  • Cupcake Stand
  • Cake Dome
  • Waffle Iron
  • Deep Fryer
I'll probably add to this when I think up stuff.
This is more for my own personal reference.

YUUUUHHHHHHH.

An Introduction...

Hello, hello, hello. Going to try out this blogging thing even though I doubt anyone will come across this blog. Whatevvss.

I'm 22 and currently living in Orlando, Fl. Yes, it's hot as heck down here. I frequent Universal and Disney World. Why not when you have passes, lol. So expect pictures of theme parks and theme park food.

I'm currently obsessed with Pinterest. So any recipes I find or DIY project results will definitely end up on here. I love, love, love cooking, so hopefully my reviews of Pinterest recipes will do a little bit of good.

As of right now, I'm residing at my mother's house. I'm certain after I move out, you'll end up seeing a lot of DIY furniture and DIY decorations. Palette furniture is my favorite and the most aesthetically appealing thing ever to me, lmao. I'm probably going to try out a few palette furniture ideas.

Other things you can expect  from this blog are photoshoot attempts and anything else random that you can think up. This is going to be a dumping ground for my thoughts, but I hope you enjoy it!
